Today, CSI has started a training on “Women in Leadership: Inspiring a Positive Change” for Somaliland Women Departmental Directors and Deputy Directors. The course aims to empower and engage them in purposeful career development and take on leadership for important causes. The course also will equip them with skills and knowledge to lead change and have confidence to participate better in the workplace. Most importantly, it will uplift Somaliland women in leadership position across the public sector. The 10-hour training takes place at Civil Service Institute from 5th -8th April 2021.
Deqa Aden, the trainer, is the manager of Harhub, a social incubator that aims to accelerate promising startups through rigorous training and access to finance. Deqa has extensive work experience at multilateral institutions such as the World Bank where she conducted quantitative and qualitative research on macroeconomics. Deqa has a passion for international development geared towards gender equity.
