The institute of Civil Service partucularly department of Public Adminatration invited two senior civil servants as guest lectures to present important topics regarding the ongoing e-governance initiates in Somaliland Government to Public Administration students.
Mustafe Daa,uud the Director of Innovation Centre at the Somaliland Ministry of Information and Communication Technology presented #Somaliland’s e-governance strategy 2020 – 2024#. The director highlighted how the improved ICT infrastructure of the country will be utilized by the government institutions to deliver efficient, effective and quality public service.
Also, Ibrahim Mohamed, the Director of ICT at the Ministry of Trade and Tourism presented the ongoing project #Online Business Registration & Licensing System#. The project will bring an opportunity for the citizens to register their business by online without physically coming to the ministry.
Both sessions were interactive, and the students had a glimpse of the practical perspective of e-governance.
Finaly, Mohamed Yusuf who teaches this course encouraged the students to contribute the ongoing efforts of Somaliland e-governance strategies.
